Art therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic approach which uses creative expression—such as drawing, painting and making things—to help explore emotions, reduce stress and enhance self-awareness.
Through the artistic process, thoughts/feelings that may be difficult to verbalise can be expressed and examined. Art therapy supports emotional regulation, improves coping skills, and fosters personal insight. It is effective for those experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression or life transitions. It can be very grounding for the neurodiverse. No artistic skill or ‘talent’ is needed to gain from its benefits.
Skye is a highly trained (Masters Degree) and experienced art therapist, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to process experiences, build resilience and strengthen psychological well-being.
Art therapy can help you work out where you’re at…
Maybe you’ll learn to abandon some fears…
Or maybe you’ll just sit and contemplate what emerges….
…and commune with other versions of yourself
Perhaps you will feel more self-contained…
Things might look a bit brighter…
Or the world might seem a little bigger…
Or a little freer….
Art therapy…you might be pleased with who you meet there…
