Happy New Year everyone. We’ve been busy at Skye’s the Limit planning our new years ranges and are happy to reveal two lovely new ranges that add unique new looks to our products. ‘Tweeter’ was inspired by a trip to Queensland and the rainforest birds, and Floralies came about through raking through vintage pieces I had stored in my cupboard for years. They are totally different looks and seem to bring a smile to people’s faces, we hope they do to yours too.

New A4 patterned papers available

We have been asked to create A4 papers so much that we finally bit the bullet and did it! 12 designs make up our range, all printed on 100gsm, 100% recycled paper, with a subtle pale pattern on the reverse. They come in packs of 10 of the same design in each set. We think they will be great for those retailers who want to offer something a bit different to the usual papers....[continue reading]

New journals are available

Our new journals are a hit! With 100% recycled heavyweight card on the covers - sporting a generous flap on each side - and 80 pages of beautiful, speckled 100% recycled white unlined paper inside, these A5 sized journals are beautiful inside and out. The Vintage Birds series was inspired by some items I picked up at my local second-hand market one Sunday. A book on finches, some playing cards, postcards, exotic stamps and old letters all combined to make me very excited about what might happen if they all came together on the page. With Australian finches as the primary heroes of this range, I hope you enjoy this range as much as loved creating them.
Skye's The Limit now available in the UK

Skye's the Limit is very excited to announce the birth of its UK-based baby. The very capable (and lovely) Alison Jefferis will be at her helm. More on Alison soon! We had such a demand for the C6 boxed versions of the Bespoke cards that we extended the range and made a series of 6 individual cards. Each design comes in small and large sizes. Skye's the Limit goes international

As of November, 2008, Skye's The Limit is exporting to France and Italy. We have begun exporting in a small way, following up on enquiries from Australian-based fans with outlets in Europe. We hope our 'house of cards' will soon be finding fans in other European countries. Stay tuned! Our new age number range - 'Linen'

Our new 'Linen' range has been inspired by some lovely Irish linen we had lying around. It was also an attempt to create some restrained and hopefully classy age number cards to counter the garish images so often on offer. We'd like to receive these, and hope you would, too!

New range of cards - 'Mama was a beauty'

'Mama was a beauty' is a range inspired by my mother. A model in her late teens and early 20's, I wanted to honour her by using the images from her youth. The highly decorative style is reminiscent of the way she brought us up...florals and patterns and design and colour everywhere. She also has part Chinese heritage so I wanted to use subtle Asian patterns and rich, strong colours to enhance this aspect.

New 'cartograph' range

Skye’s the limit has produced a small new range called ‘cartograph’, based on maps of the world. We loved how the text and images worked together so pleasingly with the oval shape of the die-cut. The cards come on beautiful heavy weight textured card stock, 120x120 mm, with contrasting pastel textured envelope at 130mm. The look is unique and truly eye-catching. The range can also be bought as die-cut tags.

Great Success at GHA Fair for Skye's the Limit

We were quite overwhelmed by the fabulous response from retailers at the recent GHA trade fair in Sydney. Retailers were keen to express their enthusiasm for the style and unique look of our designs. 'A breath of fresh air', 'different', 'beautiful' and 'Where have you been all this time?', were phrases that some bandied about, which thrilled us, of course.
