Ask us about special orders. About the artist A lifelong illustrator, Skye admits she has been doodling since she was a very young kid. It was, she says, the only thing she was good at. A self-confessed self-taught artist, Skye has developed her own style intuitively over the years. Skye's design and illustration styles vary widely, depending on the brief or what she's been staring at lately. To create an artwork that has it's own integrity is upmost in her mind, however that is achieved; through acrylic paint, Photoshop, collage, pen and ink or making it from scratch from paper. 'Always', she says, 'There is the desire is to create something with emotional weight, something that will be enduring.' Skye began her very successful card and stationery company ‘Skye's The Limit’ in 2007, with its charter to offer uniquely illustrated work that graces everything from cards, stationery and soap packaging. Skye's the Limit carries Skye's unique sense of style... Skye says, ‘The business is a hub of creative energy, I am always developing new and interesting lines as I am such a curious person and always wanting to have a go at something new.’ Skye holds regular workshops at her home ‘quirky cottage’ and will also host a wonderful 5 star craft cruise on the high seas(Celebrity Solstice to NZ, November 2013). In her workshops, Skye aims to help others discover their own inner artiste and develop a natural style from within. ‘Skye is very inspiring’ says Chris Chun, fellow designer and artist. ‘She really knows how to follow and share her passion’. She is also the author of 5 non-fiction books: 'Jobs for the Girls', about women in small business,(Random House), 'thirtysomething' (Allen + Unwin) about women navigating their 30's, 'Bend of the River' (Lansdowne Press) a personal memoir co-authored with her mother, Jerry Rogers), 'Drink Me' (Harper Collins) a memoir, and most recently, 'Paper Bliss - projects and musings on life in the paper lane.').
